Is it just me or does this look like all kinds of awesome?

Set on Spanish Main, Sea Battles, Swashbuckling, player controlled economy, hugely customisable, realm vs realm, user content (for example you can submit your own designs for flag and sails - if it's approved you can use it and sell it), what's not to like?

PBEM Games

When I was at uni there was this frickin' awesome 4X called Stars that you could play by email... you took your turn, submitted your file received the next one a bit later... was flexible so either could have a human host or some dudes set up automated servers which streamlined it. all the files were password protected meaning the host got to play too if they wanted...

Anyone know of anything cool out there now? Did a quick hunt around online but most are restricted in that they're officially hosted so need to queue for slots and not as easy as getting a bunch of mates together and kicking off a game...
